Bill Details
Bill Details
The Bill Details grid is a summary of all Billed Detail Transactions processed by the system. For ease of use Filters, Perspectives, and the Archive features are strongly encouraged given the volume of records that can appear on this Grid. This grid allows users to explore the details viewable on a Bill, within the backend portion of PCR-360, which can allow for correcting any issue identified in reviewing a Billed Item. Once an update to a Billed Item is made, a new Bill will need to be run for the Bill Details grid to display the changes.
Archive Function
Due to the large quantity of data typically associated with Bill Details, there is an automatic Data Archiving function that runs on the Bill Details records. When there is an Archive available, it shows up to the User in a drop-down selection on the grid:
Within the Archive Selector, a User finds a list of the archived data. This list should look like the following image:
When the Bill process runs, it inserts all the data into the BILL_DETAILS and BILL_TYPE_* tables. After a specific amount of time elapses, the data is "Archived" into a new dated version of those tables. BILL_DETAILS_1701 for January 2017 or BILL_DETAILS_1702T for the Test Bill in February 2017. The User can set the Archive timeout under Admin > Tenant Management. There is a "Bill Archiving" field that specifies the number of days to wait before running the archive. A zero in this field indicates that the Bill archives the night after it was generated. Most of our customers have found that a value of 10 or 15 days allows them to run reports and pull any other data before the bill "archives".
The View Bill feature functions on Archived or Unarchived Bill data.
The Archive loads and is possible to view.
Open Billed Item
When a User selects a record and clicks on the button, PCR-360 will open a Manage form associated with that record type.
