(2024.2) Using Bookmarks

Bookmarks allow Users to access PCR-360 content from any page as well as external websites. Look for the arrow at the bottom of the landing page to add, delete, and manage the Bookmarks on the Landing Page.

Bookmark a Grid

For example, add a Bookmark to the Service Desk Orders Grid.

  1. Navigate to the Grid where a Bookmark is desired. Example: Main > Service Desk > Orders.

  2. Click the 'Bookmark Arrow' Bookmark Arrow button example button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. 

  3. When the Bookmark toolbar opens, Bookmark Toolbar example click the 'Add Current Page' Current Page Bookmark example button.

  4. There now is a Bookmark at the bottom of the screen that looks like this: Bookmarked Orders example

Bookmark a data entry form

For example, add a Bookmark to the 'Add New Service Order' form.

  1. Navigate to the form where a Bookmark is desired. Example: Main > Service Desk > Orders > Add button.

  2. Click on theOptions button on the title bar of the window. 

  3. Click the 'Add Bookmark' menu item.

  4. There is now a Bookmark at the bottom of the screen that looks like this: Bookmark Example

Bookmark a specific record

For example, add a bookmark to Service Desk Order SO20131023

  1. Navigate to the Grid that contains the record where a Bookmark is desired. Example: Main > Service Desk > Order.

  2. Open the record desired (SO20131023) to be bookmarked by either double clicking or single clicking and clicking the Edit Selected button.

  3. Click on theOptions button on the title bar of the window. 

  4. Click the 'Add Bookmark' menu item.

  5. There is now a Bookmark at the bottom of the screen that looks like this: Bookmark Example

Bookmark something outside of PCR-360

For example, add a Bookmark to http://www.weather.com.

  1. Click the 'Bookmark Arrow' Bookmark Arrow button example in the lower left-hand corner of the screen 

  2. When the Bookmark toolbar opens, Bookmark Toolbar Example click the 'Add Custom Bookmark'. Add Custom Bookmark example

  3. Enter the 'Display Text' desired for the title on the Bookmark bar. 

     

  4. Enter the URL for the website desired to be bookmarked in the 'Link Location' field.

  5. There is now a Bookmark at the bottom of the screen that looks like this: Custom Bookmark Example

Bookmark multiple Grids at once

For example: add a bookmark for all menu entries under Main > Cable.

  1. Click the 'Bookmark Arrow' Bookmark Arrow button example

    in the lower left hand corner of the screen 

  2. When the Bookmark toolbar opens, Bookmark Toolbar example click 'Add Bookmarks' Add Bookmark Button example

  3. Select the entries desired on the 'Add New Menu Bookmark' screen.

  4. Click the Save and Close button.

  5. There are now new Bookmarks at the bottom of the screen that look like this: Bookmarks from Menu example of Bookmarks

Bookmark a Perspective

For example, add a Bookmark for High Pending & Hold Perspective on the Orders Grid.

  1. Navigate to the Grid that contains the Perspective desired to be bookmarked. Example: Main > Service Desk > Orders.

  2. Click the Perspectives button.

  3. Single-click the perspective desired to be bookmarked and click the Get Link button.

  4. Highlight the link and either type Ctrl-C or right-click and choose Copy.

  5. Click the 'Bookmark Arrow' Bookmark Arrow button example button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. 

  6. When the Bookmark toolbar opens Bookmark Toolbar example click 'Add Custom Bookmark' Add Custom Bookmark button example

  7. Enter the 'Display Text' desired for the title on the Bookmark bar. 

  8. Paste the URL into the Link Location field.

  9. There is now a Bookmark at the bottom of the screen that looks like this: Bookmark example

Edit a Bookmark

If a User wants to change the Label or URL of a Bookmark.

  1. Right click on the Bookmark to be edited and click theEdit button.

  2. Change the Label or Link Location as desired.

  3. Click the Save and Close button.

Delete a Bookmark

  1. Right click on the Bookmark to be deleted and click theDelete button.

  2. The Bookmark will be removed from the bottom of the screen.

Bookmark a Crystal Report

  1. Navigate to Main > Reporting > Available Crystal Reports.

  2. Select the desired report.

  3. Click the 'Bookmark Report' Bookmark Report button 

Other Bookmark Notes

  • Don’t forget a User can Bookmark Knowledgebase articles.
    For example, an article with a list of your Organization's business practices for assigning new phone numbers, bring up that article, click on the options menu in the title bar and select Add Bookmark.

  • The order of the Bookmarks can be changed by dragging and dropping them in the Bookmark pane.
