The 'Events' grid is a read-only grid available within PCR-360 for monitoring behind the scenes actions PCR-360 is taking. Double-clicking a Grid row Opening a record in the grid, opens the "'Manage Event" form, where Users can review the background data involved in the Event.  The Grid and Form ' form, which provides the addition of what 'Data' returned from the last run of the Event.  There are a few key fields in the grid and on the form that provide useful information about what an Event will do when executedis occurring.

  • Status: There are 3 Status values for an Event. Pending, Hold, and Error.
    1. Pending:  The Event is active and waiting to be The Event has not run.
    2. Hold:  The The Event has been suspended so it will not runset to no run.  This is usually manually done by PCR.
    3. Error: The Event was executedtried to complete, but encountered an error situation and could not complete in the number of Attempts allowedexperienced unexpected behavior and completed unsuccessfully.
  • Attempts:  The number of Ranges from 0 to 3.  This tracks how many times the system has executed and it failed to complete successfully. Events are assigned a particular limit of Attempts before they are switched to Error Status and no longer attempted. The limit of Attempts varies between different types of Events.Event has attempted to execute for the same data.  After 3 attempts, if the Event did not complete successfully, the Event will be moved into the Error Status.
  • Frequency: This indicates how frequently the Event will run.
    • Blank: This is not a recurring Event, once executed, the Event will be removed from the grid
  • Process Locked: A Red XImage Removedmeans the Event is unlocked and waiting to be executed. A Green CheckmarkImage Removedmeans that Event is currently running and is "locked". This prevents separate Event cycles from picking up the same Event. Once it's running, no other cycle will touch itWhen this field is populated with a Red XImage Added, then the Event is running normally.  When this field is populated with a Green CheckmarkImage Added, then the Event Process has identified an issue, and will prevent this Event from running Again.  Please Contact PCR when an Event becomes locked.

Also included in the Event is the 'Listener Class' and 'Listener Method'. These fields are valuable for setting up 'Custom Events', as well as 'Escalations/Notifications'.
