Overview

Once the Big River Barcode App is installed on your Scanner Device, you must ensure that PCR-360 is set up for valid API Credentials.

API Key

The Barcode API requires the User Authentication login. Permissions will need to be granted to Read and Write for the Barcode and Service Desk Modules, as well as Read permissions for the SQL Module. The Service Desk Module will also need Read/Write access to UDFs and Remarks.

Users must be added to the API Key to use it, like in the above example.

Configuring the App

To configure the Big River Barcode App:

  1. Open the App You are going to Configure (Inventory, Service Desk)
    • This example will use the Inventory App
  2. Go to the Admin Section using the Admin button

  3. Click on the URL button on the Admin Menu

  4. Configure the URL to interface with
    PCR360 URL Screen
  5. Click "Yes" to confirm the entry
  6. Click on the Confirm button
  7. Click on the Exit button
  8. In PCR-360, open the Barcode Tab for the API Key

  9. Click on the API Key button on the Admin Menu

  10. In the Scanner App, configure the API Key
    • This can be done easily by using the Barcode Scanner to scan the API Key displayed in PCR-360 as a Barcode

  11. Click "Yes" to confirm the entry
  12. Click on the Confirm button
  13. Click on the Exit button
  14. Exit the Admin Menu

Once completed, the App will be configured to access the appropriate PCR-360 functionality. The other application will need to be set up, using the same process.
