Custom Form Layout

Some Users might like to start on a particular tab or hide tabs when accessing frequently used forms. PCR-360 makes it easy to do both.

Start on a Default Tab

To start on a particular tab (in this example the Workflow tab) the User should open the form and select the tab to have open when the form is loaded. The steps are as follows:

1. Open the Service Order form and select the 'Workflow' tab.
2. This will set the focus on the Workflow tab.
3. Click 'Options' and 'Save Form Layout'.

Now whenever this form is opened, the Workflow tab will be selected.

Hiding a Tab from View

To hide a tab that the User will not utilize (for example the Equipment tab) set the form Permissions to hide the Equipment tab. Hiding the Equipment tab can be handled with Permissions Sets.

1. Open the Service Order form.
2. Click the 'Options' menu and select 'Permission Builders'.

1. After clicking on 'Permission Builders' the form will have little lock icons  on any item that can be controlled with Permissions.
2. Click the lock icon on the 'Equipment' tab.
3. Permissions for that tab will now be visible. Select the 'Permission Set', and a Permission of 'Deny'.
4. Click the 'Save New' button 

Any User with that Permission Set will no longer see the Equipment tab. For more examples see the Best Practices for Permissions.
