The Events Grid

The 'Events' grid is a read-only grid available within PCR-360 for monitoring behind the scenes actions PCR-360 is taking. Opening a record in the grid, opens the 'Manage Event' form, which provides the addition of what 'Data' returned from the last run of the Event.  There are a few key fields in the grid and on the form that provide useful information about what is occurring.

Manage Event Form example

  • Status: There are 3 Status values for an Event. Pending, Hold, and Error.
    1. Pending: The Event has not run.
    2. Hold: The Event has been set to no run.  This is usually manually done by PCR.
    3. Error: The Event tried to complete, but experienced unexpected behavior and completed unsuccessfully.
  • Attempts: Ranges from 0 to 3.  This tracks how many times the Event has attempted to execute for the same data.  After 3 attempts, if the Event did not complete successfully, the Event will be moved into the Error Status.
  • Frequency: This indicates how frequently the Event will run.
    • Blank: This is not a recurring Event, once executed, the Event will be removed from the grid
  • Process Locked: When this field is populated with a Red X, then the Event is running normally.  When this field is populated with a Green Checkmark, then the Event Process has identified an issue, and will prevent this Event from running Again.  Please Contact PCR when an Event becomes locked.

Also included in the Event is the 'Listener Class' and 'Listener Method'. These fields are valuable for setting up 'Custom Events', as well as 'Escalations/Notifications'.
