Navigate to Main > Services > Auth Codes.
Adding and Editing an Auth Code Service
To add a new Auth Code Service, click the button located on the Auth Codes Grid toolbar. To customers who utilize the Service Desk portion of the application, it is recommended that all new Services be added via Service Order in Service Desk so that a complete trail of the provisioning process is recorded.
To edit an existing Auth Code Service, double-click the item or highlight the item (single click) and press the button located on the Grid Toolbar. Both actions will open an Auth Code Service data entry form.
Users can change the Auth Code Format by using the 'Format' field on the Auth Code's Service Catalog .
Specific logic and requirements pertaining to the common service fields can be found in Fields, Logic & Rules . Auth Code Services have three unique fields 'Auth Code, Auth Code Type' and 'Class of Service'. The 'Auth Code' field is the unique service identifier across all Services. The other two fields allow Users to select from a custom defined lists of Auth Code types and Classes of Service. These lists are controlled by the Admin (see List Values Entries under Administration). Additionally, depending on the USE_RATING_GROUP Configuration Option, the 'Rate Group' field is available to control how calls on this Service are rated.
Auth Code Service Tabs
When a Service is of the Auth Code type, it has the standard set of tabs on the form. The 'Tabs' associated with Auth Code Services are Charges, Expense GLAs, Call Details, Billing, Equipment, Cabling, Pools, Contacts, Remarks, Service Desk, Attachments, User Defined Fields.
Deleting an Auth Code Service
To delete an existing Auth Code Service, simply highlight the item(s) to be removed and click the button located on the Grid Toolbar.
